  Community Activities at Etone

Etone Community School and Technology College

Etone truly is a 'Community College'. We believe that the local community should be involved in decisions made about the college, and try whenever possible to attain this.

Community Involvement at Etone

We have many outside users at Etone - from the Rainbows to Karate! We have a Marching Band, Yamaha Music School, and Circuit Training to name but a few: a list of current activities is included in our brochure, this is available directly from Mrs Sharon Berrill at the College; or why not take a look at the times and dates our users are with us - this bulletin is included in the 'Rental and Hiring Information' section.

Areas Available

Our community users do not just use the College building - our football fields are often in use, and even our car parks are utilized by the local Caravan Club for their meetings.

Opportunities at Etone

We are always eager to promote Etone to new users - if you wish to hire a room for a 'one off' event, (such as a wedding) or on an on-going basis, we are more than happy to discuss availability. Contact Mrs Sharon Barrell.

Etone Sports Centre

Availability

We have on site a fully equipped Sports Centre. It is available to the College during the day, and open for external bookings such as tennis, squash, badminton, 5-a-side football etc after college hours. Bookings for the Sports Centre between 3.30pm and 6.00pm are made through the College. And although later evening bookings are to be made directly through the Sports Centre, (telephone number 024 7638 6466) we are happy to answer questions within the College if possible.

The 'Astroturf'

The Sports Centre has an 'Astroturf' football field, and this is available for booking upon request. Being fully floodlit, it can be used after dark - making it ideal for evening games.

Our Long Term Aims And Beliefs

We believe that Etone College is more than an asset to our local community - it is an integral part of it. By having an 'open' policy of communication, we aim to improve access to the College and it's staff. We encourage any members of the public with any thoughts or suggestions to contact us. Community users help to broaden the horizons and experience of our students: by promoting interaction between different members of the college community, we aim to promote discussion and trigger positive action by everyone involved.

We have strong business links with several local Companies such as Triton and Lanemark. We intend to develop new relationships with local businesses. Our Business Partners have helped Etone to achieve great results in the past, and we look forward to their continued support in the future.

We want to support and encourage all users of Etone, both current and future members. Any ideas for achieving this will be warmly received, and we wholeheartedly welcome any communication from any member of our community.
