| Etone equals best ever GCSE exam results! |
Many Congratulations to all students from the class of 2009, you have done yourselves and the College proud. The students have equalled the best ever results the College has ever achieved. The overall five A* to C GCSE rate was 75%. The 5 A* to C GCSE rate was an impressive 57%.
There were some outstanding individual performances to recognise. Amongst them were Bethany who achieved an outstanding 14 GCSE's - 8A's, 5A*'s. Matthew Wright gained 13 GCSE's - 4A's, 2 A*'s. Michelle Pipe gained 14 GCSE's - 8A's, 1A*. Thomas Rest, Louise Edwards and Ashley Cavanagh each achieved 14 GCSE's. There were many students with in excess of 10 GCSE's with at least one grade A.
Many students achieved beyond their predicted grades and they must be congratulated on their achievement. I know many students have enrolled at Sixth Form College or the College of Further Education. On behalf of the staff of the College, I want to wish you every success for the future and look forward to seeing you at the reunion and awards evening in November.
