The Design and Technology area has a vibrant atmosphere with students enthusiastic to develop their skills through a varied and stimulating
curriculum that covers textiles, resistant materials, graphics, food,
electronics and control.
During Key Stage 3 all students have the opportunity to work within all the above areas and select one to specialise in for their GCSE during
Key Stage 4.
Extra curricular activities consist of trips to Museums and visits to Industry to experience real life working environments. Students also have the opportunity to develop skills in various lunchtime and twilight workshops encouraging them to fully reach their potential.
Our Key Stage 3 results are higher than ever and students are achieving very good GCSE results, currently 80% which is well above the national average.
We are a forward thinking area and always insist on high standards.
